How to get to KielKiel is located at the Baltic Sea about 80 km north of Hamburg. You can travel to Kiel: • by train: There is a frequent train service from many destinations to Kiel central station operated by Deutsche Bahn.• by plane: The nearest international airport is Hamburg (mind you: Kiel has a small airport, but no scheduled flights). There is a scheduled bus service (called Kielius) from Hamburg airport to Kiel Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof), as well a minibus service (KielExx). The minibusses take you to any destination within the city. For details, please see the Kielius web pages and/or the KielExx web pages. How to get to the AG15 venueAll lectures, splinter meetings, tutorials, poster sessions, and the public talk on Thursday take place in the Audimax building of the Christiana Albertina University (CAU). The address is Christian-Albrechts-Platz. You find maps etc. on the web pages of the University. The CAU campus can be reached easily by bus. Bus lines 60S (express service), 61, 62, 81, 91 or 92 have stops close to the Audimax. It will take you about 20 minutes to get to the campus from the city center and the railway station area. Time tables can be found on the web pages of KVG, the company which operates the bus system. How to get to the Ratssaal on Monday nightThe Ratssaal is located in the Old City Hall (Altes Rathaus) right in the city center. It is the buildingwith the highest tower. If you come from the campus, use the bus stops close to the conferencevenue and exit them (depending on the line) at Holstenbrücke, Lorentzendamm, or Rathaus/Opera House. The best choice is bus 50 (direction Kolennenweg) at 18:03 which gets you to Rathaus/Opernahus ten minutes later. Please get into the City Hall through the rear entrance Waisenhofstrasse (just walk around the building). Most of the hotels are within walking distance of the City Hall. How to get to the Maritim Hotel on Wednesday nightWe will tell you Wednesday morning at the plenary session, or use the bus web pages above.
In addition to the plenary sessions with invited talks and the splinter sessions, there are a number of special sessions offered. If not given below, the venue and the times will be added in due course. If no specific contact is given, please use the general contact of the meeting.
This program is current as of 31 August 2015. A continuously updated program will be available at http://ag15.astrophysik.uni-kiel.de/live .All rooms (with the exception of the Informal Get-Together on Monday night and the Conference Dinner) are located in the Auditorium Maximum building of the Christiana Albertina University Kiel.
